많이 쓰이는 예로, 단어를 한 글자로 축약 시키는 경우 - u (you), y (why), r (are), b (be), c (see), 2 (to/too), 4 (for), n (and), w/ (with)
단어를 소리로 축약하는 경우 – sup (what’s up), azn (asian), cuz (because), ppl (people), plz (please), thx (thanks), blog (web log), flame (inflammatory remark), gratz (contratulations), nvm (nevermind), dis (this), dat (that), wat (what)
문장 혹은 구절의 앞글자를 따는 경우 – brb (be right back), btw (by the way), lol (laugh out loud), imo (in my opinion), wth (what the hell), ttyl (talk to you later), omg (oh my god), fyi (for your information)
Ex) owned -> pwned
